        It’s a battle of titans.

Body and physical condition don’t matter; on the contrary, weakness in this case acts as a strength.

It’s a battle where I must focus all my attention and mental acuity to see if I can achieve the long-awaited reward.

My main weapon is to smile. Nothing is more devastating to an opponent than this gesture of true complicity.

However, if the other perceives any hint of impatience in it, it’s completely counterproductive, and the fight has to start all over again.

Of course, that’s exactly what happened.

My second strategy is music. Low notes, at a slow and steady tempo, almost always promote serenity, relaxation, and relief from anxiety.

Well, that didn’t work either.

My opponent resisted with more energy than ever, using kicks, headbutts, and even pinches.

I had to resort to my third weapon: harmonious movements of arms and legs. In other words, dancing.

After my biceps went numb and my calves were completely wrecked, the miracle happened.

Like two heavy curtains, drawn back by golden eyelashes, his eyelids closed with a sigh.

Yes, the baby fell asleep in my arms.

The sweetest feeling of peace enveloped the entire world.

When a baby sleeps, the spirit is full in a relief and plenitude known to mothers (and grandmothers) since the dawn of humanity.

A delightful smile spread across my face, murmuring:

Mission accomplished!
