A good friend’s grandmother used to say that sometimes in life you need a little push. I couldn’t agree more in my current circumstances.

As I’ve said so many times, my decisions are never intellectual but heartfelt, but precisely for that reason, sometimes difficult.

I tell myself, as I once read, “the right time is the right time, never before,” and I also find myself advising others—of course, it doesn’t apply to me—”jump, the net will appear.”

But it happened.

Last week I took the plunge.

As I’ve mentioned on other occasions, as I read somewhere, “your home is your extended body.” In my case, these walls are my daily embrace, the sun on my skin each morning, the river that flows through me, the wind that whispers words of love in my ear.

But yes, I received the little push.

It happens that if you insist on keeping everything the same, life takes it upon itself to change you, and sometimes harshly.

I think it’s the right and precise moment to leave my house, filled with sunrises where my husband and I were immensely happy, to seek refuge in the enchanted forest.

Here they call it “downsizing,” and that’s what I’m doing.

I must say it’s bittersweet, but like so many difficult decisions in life, somehow the nudge comes.

You just have to be very attentive.

I’ll tell you all about my little house in the woods once I am settled in my new landscape.

I finally took the quantum leap, and I think the net appeared.
